Night Owl Strikes

So last night I put Mia to bed around 9. She always insists she is not tired. I have another red head that does the same thing. NEVER TIRED! So Mallory is already asleep and I tell Mia,"Be quiet, Mallory is sleeping." I tuck her in and never go back in. Usually I do a night check right before I go to bed but when Dana is out of town, I sometimes feel a little scared and stay in my bed to avoid the bogyman. So this morning I go in their room(Mia is in my bed b/c that is what red head children do at my house) and this is what I saw!

Since she wasn't tired, she decides to quietly play and pile mass amounts of toys on her bed. And then sleep with all of it! Too funny.

Best Friends

After the holidays and everyone returned back to school and work, I started noticing something at my house. My two little girls are not just sisters, these two cuties are best friends. They always have each other to be there for each new great adventure. How cool is that? Like having a friend that is up for any and everything and she is Always there because she lives with you! I have to admit I am a little jealous! I always wanted a sister to share my time with and I did get three. Only after I was 8, 10 and 12! By then the age gap was too big and I just watched those three fight, I mean play. The only experience I have to compare sisters to is going to college and having friends around all the time. But these two adore one another. I LOVE watching when Mallory tells a story or whatever and Mia just hangs open her mouth open, staring and listening to Mallory. She Never interrupts and or tries to but in the conversation. Mia is completely amazed by her sister and it is so cute! I am loving being a witness to this beautiful friendship and I am so looking forward to watching their friendship blossom!

I love it when a dream of your own comes true for your children!

Home Improvements

So here are my new lamps for the entry table. I hate to admit how much time I wasted shopping around for the little darlings, obsessing really, only to finally realize I couldn't find exactly what I wanted , so what did I do? Buy what was super cheap on sale. Oh yeah, so much for the perfect find. Moving on

New heart plate, that makes three seasonal plates, all of which I hated painting b/c it is so hard.

My favorite Christmas gift from my man- new hardware on the cabinets! I can be so easy to please, I stare at them all the time(mainly b/c I live in the kitchen...you know) and don't mind my dirty dishwasher!

Second project by my honey, tile backsplash in the master bath. My girls take baths in here a lot and soak the walls. We just knew they were gonna collapse one day. He is so talented, the hardest part was picking out the tile.
Another view. AHHHHHH

So that's the skinny on the vaca projects. Love getting things crossed off a list. But of coarse I am always adding to it! Am I the only one that does this? I wish my brain would just turn off for a while and enjoy the house more. But there is always just a few more things to do! Next, finish the girls room(waiting for cutains from Target) and next; the kids bathroom. Which only means More Painting! I did count 11 cans of paint in the garage, in a house that is only 2 years old and has 7 rooms.......Yikes!

New Computer

Uncle Joseph and Cole

Joseph and Chloe

Well, My Awesome husband saved the day and bought a new computer but alas, the cutest blog on the block server is down, so I cannot change my Christmas background. Which is total karma because I can't stand it when people keep their decorations up long past the appropriate time allowed to hold onto to the holiday season. So now I am of those people in blog world. So sorry.
Anyway, two pics from Chloe's new camera of Joseph. Joseph is my youngest brother, 20 years younger than me and only 1 and 1/2 years younger than Chloe. They grew up together and are like brother and sister. And Cole adores him MAJOR! Every time we leave from visiting he cries forever. So they went to visit Joseph before they went back to school and had an awesome time. And my house was so quiet and I had a great time with just the two little girls.

The Computer is sick

I am a sad sight over here. My computer has been ill and I am not hopeful. Secondly, over the holidays I took my memory stick to get some photos printed and LOST my stick with all 951 pictures on it! AHHHHHH! So sad and I am not over it YET. So I will try to get back in the saddle soon...please don't forget me!
