Think Pink

Wall by Mallory's bed
Wall when you first walk into the room
A view of the corner
* Note the other two walls do not have diamonds. Just pink.

So for the past four days I have been working in the girls room and their "PINK" walls. All I can say is that I am done with painting and pink....for a while anyway. Thanks to Chloe who helped on our first night. And big thanks to my friend Kelly for the diamonds would not be possible without her faith and math skills. But I do love how the room turned out and I can't wait to finish, ya know curtains, bedding, cute accessories. I will post a pic when all is done, please don't hold your breath, it may be a while! Just imagine black & white around the room and the only pink is on the walls.

I Heart Edward Cullen

I Love Edward.
It is so sad but totally true.
I am dying for the next book to come out and I am boycotting all other books until I can read Breaking Dawn.
Wow.
I really feel better.
Also, I have a widget at the bottom of the page if you would like daily quotes from Stephenie Meyer from Breaking Dawn.
I need help.
What is really crazy is that Chloe tried to get me to read the book last year and I told her no.
Then when I did pick it up, I read it in one day!
Then the second book in a day.
The third book three days b/c my family needed to eat.
Hilarie, one of my favorite blogging friends said,"Now don't you feel silly for having those books in your house for a year!"
Very silly indeed.

Dana's Deep Fishing Event

Dana with one of three fish he caught

A view from 30 miles off the shore in Galveston.

Dana went on a deep sea fishing trip with Gigi(his grandmother) and her husband Tom. They didn't catch too many fish but enjoyed the trip. Dana said next time Chloe and Cole are going, too! And he did not throw up one time!

Is Too Much a bad thing?

Can a girl have too many lotions? I think I may have a problem...I Might possibly be slightly attached to lotions.....maybe. I am organizing my bathroom and what do I find? Just the 13 bottles of lotion under my sink, not counting in my purse, kitchen or any other spot in the house. Does anyone have more than my mere 13?? Who is brave enough to admit it?

Cole's Big Fun

Cole and Clayton at the rodeo. Cole likes the bull riders....of course!
Are you feeling safe?????
How about now?
Cole at Dean and Elly's and their GIANT slip and slide.
Cole all tuckered out...could he be any cuter?

While we were having fun at home, Cole Brandon went went his Nana's and Pop Pop's with his cousin Clayton. They went on Thursday morning and by the end of the day they had shot grasshoppers, rode Clayton's 4 wheeler and dug up Nana's garden that has burned to a crisp. They also went to the movies, a shopping trip for cowboy apparel, a night at the Belton Rodeo, two parties and whatever time was left, "working" on the land! Don't you know Cole was in heaven. He called on Friday to say he "got" to cut back the lantana and how fun that was. I told him, "You NEED to be a farmer son. It is the only way to happiness!" So the trip was a success and Cole got a little farm fix. Thanks Nana and Pop Pop!

We started our long week-end with a trip to the drive in! Cole went to Nana's, so it was girl's night.(Plus Dad) This is how to watch a movie!
Me and Dad at the movies......I know, so dang cute!
Fourth of July in the morning we went to the pancake breakfast at the church.
Had to show off the festive bow!
That night we went to The Woodlands fireworks with the Rucker's and had a great time!
Here is Mia, Ramsey, Chloe and Mallory

We had a great Fourth of July and had lots of fun pretending like we were such jet-setters! By the end of the week-end we were exhausted but grateful for the memories! First was the drive-in, better than two summers ago but Mia is still the loose cannon. Then pancake breakfast fourth of July morning, swimming and grilling at a friends for the afternoon. Than off the the fireworks with the Rucker's. By the time we got home, I was worn out. But oh no, we couldn't stop there, we met Dana's aunt, uncle, cousin, grandmother and new grandpa at the beach. Lots of fun family time, then off the get the best chocolate malt ever in Galveston, check out some stores. Then back home, Sunday we picked up Cole from his fun week-end(another blog) and got home from church to welcome our cousin Meghan who is really our kids ages(4) for a two day girl fest! Don't you just love summer????

A Work in Progress

I am still in shock that I actually canned something...thanks to my friend Debbie! It was not too hard, but I only took orders. Debbie was large and in charge of the canning! Whew.....I am glad she was there to help. Sadly, we did not get as many jars as we originally thought but it was still worth it. We also froze squash, bell peppers, and zucchini. My extra freezer to actually filling up. Even the blueberries we picked have a spot! Now if we just remember to use these yummie vegetable's and fruit.
