Aunt Danielle's Wedding

Cole looking too handsome for words!
Me, my mom and the kids wearing out!
Cole and Mia pool side

May has been a crazy, busy month but a lot of fun and family. May 17th Dana's sister Danielle was married in Austin. It was really beautiful outside wedding. Here are a few pics. Cole was the ring bearer. He was soooo cute. After the ceremony, when they were walking back down the isle, he came right to us and we had to whisper that he had to finish walking out! Mia spent the entire time there trying to get into the pool. Several times she was actually trying to get her clothes off! But we made it thru with no pool incidents. Dana found a coy pond on the other side of the house and we spent some time there. I forgot my camera(YIKES) so I am relying on others kindness to get some photos!

Chloe's 8th grade Award

Her basketball ball coach handing her award.
Chloe and friends from church with all their goods.
Chloe and a close up of her trophy.

Two weeks ago we received a letter stating that Chloe was to receive an award at the Eighth Grade Awards Ceremony. So since then we have been trying to guess which class she would be getting an award in. We narrowed it down to Science or Social Studies since she gets high grades in those classes. So when we arrived, there were the programs and what each person earned. So I look to see Chloe's name and she received ...drum roll please

Coaches Award of Excellence for Athletics!

I was so proud b/c Chloe tries so hard in athletics She was on the basketball team and track team at school. And the fact that the coached choose was even sweeter. She and one boy in all of eighth grade received the award. We are super proud of Chloe and all she does. She is excellent and now she has a trophy to prove it!

Famous Mia

I took the kids to get their picture taken last week by an awesome lady named Cathy. A friend of mine, Jamie, had referred her so I knew she could manage my four kids. So we go and let me just say that wanting to poke my eyeballs out was on my mind! Watching my kids Not look at the camera, Not take direction and Not smile drove me nuts! But Chloe helped a Ton to get the kids engaged and smiling. So when Cathy e-mailed to ask to use a picture of Mia on her new Blog, I about fell out of my chair! You mean she got a good picture from my free-spirited, not going to have anyone tell her what to do daughter??? She is a genius. And now Mia is famous...sort of! And for the record, Chloe could not believe she picked a pic of Mia after all the trouble she caused. So I am giving Chloe credit for helping.(Even though Chloe was not helping with this particular pic!) So I can't wait to add a pic of the kids on the blog! Thanks Cathy!

Mother's Day

This past week-end was super fun and I had a great time. On Saturday, I had a hair appointment at the mall and we decided everyone would come along because we were meeting friends afterwards for dinner. So I went to my hair appointment and was nearly finished and in walks Chloe. She is sporting a Coach box and I am like what is going on! Chloe says Dad has lost his mind because he just bought her a Coach purse! And I am in shock, so I say let's see it! And she opens the box and unwraps the bag and it is Orange! And I KNOW this purse is mine! I start laughing and looking for Dana because I need to make sure it was him who bought this purse because I really can't believe it. And the hair lady is like,"So it's not her purse?" And I am like, "No, orange is my favorite color, so I know it is mine!." To say I was shocked is an understatement. And to Chloe's credit, she picked out the perfect purse! I Love It! So we continued to dinner which was fun but crazy. 4 adults and 9 children- you get the picture! Sunday Dana made french toast and we had a nice day. Oh, If every Sunday was Mother's Day...would we still appreciate it? Yes, I think we would.

After the party, we all drove to Georgetown to hang out and enjoy being all together. Here are some pictures of all of us. We had fun and I wish we could have stayed longer.

Mia and Cole's Big Bash

Gorgous sister Nicole. Are you shocked that Cole is in love with her?

While Mia's friends were painting pots inside, Mia insisted on painting a box outside!
Cole and his big moment.
My sister Natalie and her husband Archie.
Cole and his construction crew in front of their build.( A house made from the box I took from the water heater man.
Mia and her finger puppet! By the way, Mia went thru three outfits at her party!

My cute brother John and his super cute wife Cindy. They came to Texas for a visit from Utah and came to Houston for a few days to visit. We had the best time! Please move here!
Cole's cake that Cindy made. How cute is that? You would think I had her over just to make a cake! ( Juat plain luck she is talented cake decorator.)
Mia's flower table.(she only got a table due to the combo theme.
More of her flower corner!
JJ, is he about the most adorable baby boy ever!

Just so I am clear about this, I did lose my mind and throw both parties at the same time. All five of my brothers and sisters came and I thought Cole would feel let down when his party came the following week and no aunts or uncles were there. So I forged ahead with the flower/construction worker combo party! I will say it was a mad house and I have some concerns I may have scared a few friends but all in all it was awesome! I had tons of help from my family and the kids had a blast. Now I am not saying we will do that again, ever, but for the occasion, it was the perfect party! Family, friends, food and fun!

Talking about Shoes....Again!

I am learning how to hyperlink, so please excuse my crazy post. I have been wanting to brag about these shoes. My girls love them and they are the cutest shoes you have ever seen! They fit infants better than any other shoes and they have a great selection. Their shoes for boys are so darling, much cuter than anything else out there. So happy shopping! Remember girls can't have too many shoes!

Martha Who?

To all the Martha's out there, this may seem like no big deal at all. But to all the rest of us"amateurs' trying to make it in a Martha world, I am happy to report that I just completed my First ever sewing project! I did get assistance from Melissa how to get thread on the bobbin(So you know I don't have clue about sewing!) but did the entire sewing part on my own! So now I have this inflated feeling of self, like I could actually do anything! It will wear off but until then

I AM MARTHA!
